Neighbourhoods and dementia research project update

19 January 2017

The latest update on the ESRC NIHR funded Neighbourhoods and Dementia project is now available on the project website. The project lead by Professor John aims to understand more about what it is like to live with dementia in an everyday context, offering opportunities for people with dementia and their family members to be involved.

The Winter newsletter highlights progress made across the eight work programmes that make up the study. These include the publishing of the Co-researcher Involvement and Engagement in Dementia (COINED) Model in the Dementia journal, the completion of analysis around area level determinants of cognitive performance from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing, and the co-design of a Deaf-friendly app to prompt conversations between Deaf people living with dementia and their hearing carers.
