Networking

An overarching theme in the Manchester Institute for Collaborative Research on Ageing's (MICRA) network.

Since April 2020, we have transformed our monthly MICRA seminars into virtual webinars which are recorded and posted on the School of Social Science's YouTube channels.

Our external public network has increased in numbers since it was impacted negatively by the general data protection regulations and Data Protection Act. We had to start from scratch again.

We now have over 600 engaged stakeholders including practitioners, commissioners of health and social care, policymakers and private individuals. We have over 4000 followers on our Twitter account - a platform used to promote MICRA research and events, and working with academics and stakeholders, to promote surveys and other research.
