Symposium on Age-Friendly cities: Research, Policy and Practice
16 - 17 January 2017
This Symposium led by Professor Chris Phillipson brought together researchers on urban ageing from different disciplines to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing age-friendly cities, and how research can help tackle this important topic. The conference featured research on active caring communities in Brussels and presentations on developing age-friendly Manchester.
The event also included a visit to Southway Housing Trust to hear from Cathy Ayrton, Naturally Occurring Retirement Community Project Officer at Southway Housing Trust.
