Collaborate

Addressing the key questions about ageing means bringing together different sets of expertise.

Our researchers work with academics from other disciplines, with older people and older peoples' organisations and practitioners and people working with older people. By involving businesses and those developing products and services for older people, we can ensure our research makes a difference to older peoples' lives.

The University of Manchester is one of the largest universities in the UK. We are a world leader in research and have academics working on all aspects of research on ageing across a range of disciplines.

We are also well connected externally, with collaborations including The Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC), a partnership between The University of Manchester and six leading NHS organisations in Greater Manchester. Manchester City Council and the University work together on ageing strategy, policy and practice, and the University receives funding from all the major research council and leading ageing charities.
