Professor Debbie Price comments in The Guardian on retirement and inequalities
16 January 2017
Professor Debora Price, Director of MICRA (Manchester Institute for Collaborative Research on Ageing), features in an article in The Guardian about older people and retirement. The article, written by Amelia Hill, is titled Getting on, or getting on with it: life in an OAP hotspot, and considers the experiences of baby boomers who are reaching retirement.
Prof Price argues against lumping all older people together in one vision of older age, because while many people are enjoying higher levels of health and wealth between 50 and 74, inequalities are greater amongst over 50s than in any other age group in the UK.
