MICRA PhD Network

Thursday 3 November

Sitting across the three Faculties of Humanities; Biology, Medicine & Health; and Science & Engineering, MICRA currently supports a community of over 100 active academics, bringing together leading researchers working across the field of ageing. MICRA is now launching a new network for PhD students involved in research on ageing, open to all students researching any aspect of ageing or ageing populations in any discipline at UoM and MMU. We welcome all interested PhD students to the first meeting on the 3rd November.

The MICRA PhD network will give PhD students the opportunity to build relationships, share experiences, provide peer support, broaden knowledge about ageing, connect you to cutting edge ageing research, and help to prepare for your future careers. We aim to meet 3 times a year. The network will be student led and supported by MICRA. At the first meeting, there will be an introduction by MICRA Director Debbie Price followed by four 10 minute presentations from PhD students about their current research, followed by time for discussion over a buffet lunch (provided).

We hope to see you there!

*please note this network is only open to PhD students researching any aspect of ageing or ageing populations at the University of Manchester or Manchester Metropolitan University.
